Participates in surveys and complaint investigations of health care and residential facilities in a seven county area to determine compliance with federal and state regulations. Conducts surveys as a team member and team coordinator. Overnight travel is involved. Must be able to work occasionally before and after normal work hours, including weekends and holidays. Travel in a 16 county area is required, and applicants may reside in any of the counties covered by the Alachua area office. Counties are Alachua, Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Marion, Putnam, Sumter, Suwannee and Union. Statewide travel may be included for this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to organize and prioritize
Communication skills both verbally and in writing/computer

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of three years of professional experience in health, social or rehabilitative services.
A bachelor's degree in health care or related area from an accredited college or university and two years of professional experience in health, social, or rehabilitative services, health care or social services administration or planning is preferred.
Professional or non-professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the preferred college education.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
