Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support needed to ensure efficient operations within the Logistics Department.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Locate tracking numbers on freight carriers website
Quote shipments using online tools
Maintain freight in transit (FIT) report based on tracking updates
Enter freight forwarder information into a database
Assist with monthly reporting requirements
Provide shipment proof of delivery to customer service and accounting
Respond to Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code email questions
Follow up on shipment errors and damages
Book upcoming shipments with correct route and mode
Schedule container deliveries and maintain a container utilization report based on weight/volume
Communicate accurate ship dates and potential bottlenecks to internal departments
Perform other duties as needed by management Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3 to 5 years of purchasing and logistics processes knowledge
Effective communication skills including technical writing
Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize
Capable of following oral and written instructions
Ability to work autonomously and adapt and learn quickly
Capable of communicating frequently with multiple departments in a professional manner
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Broker Import & Export experience
Can meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Educational & Certification Requirements
Associates' degree preferred or equivalent experience Software Skills
Sound knowledge of MS Office applications with the ability to create reports and presentations

Salary:
$18.
